Seattle

The Cloudbreak Music Festival is back for its third year, beginning November 7 and running through November 27, with Seattle’s hotels offering a musical treat to their guests. The festival has grown substantially since its inception in 2021, featuring over 200 artists performing at 34 different venues. The festivities kick off tonight at The Crocodile with performances by Naked Giants and La Fonda starting at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening an hour earlier.

“As someone who loves live music, I’m grateful that we live in a place that truly celebrates local artists and venues,” said King County Executive Dow Constantine. “I’m excited for our third annual Cloudbreak festival and encourage everyone to get out and experience the excitement of our ever-evolving local music scene.”

Cloudbreak is a unique initiative designed to enhance tourism in Seattle during the cooler months. Visitors staying in any of the 70 downtown Seattle hotels involved in the festival from November 7 to 27 will receive complimentary passes to live music events throughout their visit.

To attend concerts, guests simply present their live music pass and hotel key card. A QR code on the pass also provides quick access to the full festival lineup.

“Cloudbreak was originally created to support Seattle’s musicians and music community in the wake of the pandemic,” said Stephanie Byington, Chief Marketing Officer for Visit Seattle. “The festival’s ongoing success is driven by strong partnerships. We’re excited to continue collaborating with King County Creative, the City of Seattle, and our hotel partners. This is the perfect opportunity for visitors and staycationers to book a room and see some great live music.”

This year, 13 Seattle hotels are enticing guests with special Cloudbreak-themed packages available from November 7 to 27. These packages offer benefits ranging from dining credits and discounted stays to exclusive hotel amenities.

Participating hotels include:

“Cloudbreak encapsulates what Seattle is all about: innovation, creativity, and community,” said Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell. “Venues across our great city will be alive with music this month, thanks to the many artists and businesses who bring this festival to life. I encourage Seattleites to join the party, and sample some of the incredible art that continues to make our city such a beloved destination for music fans.”

Festival highlights include diverse performances across the city’s iconic venues, from the energetic opening night at The Crocodile to a special reunion show by The Long Winters on the festival’s final night. Each event offers a slice of Seattle’s rich musical heritage and current talents.
